D9 is an open-source, freeware advanced dialler for Windows Mobile Phone Edition devices, such as the i-mate JAM. The main advantage of D9 over the built-in dialler is that it's faster, more responsive and easier to get to the contact you're after. What's more, the buttons throughout the application are nice and big, ideal for thumbs!
Feature:
Predictive text entry: D9 works out who you're after, meaning it only takes a few keypresses to get in touch. It uses your Outlook contacts for its database, so there's no need to enter any names or numbers - it's all automatic.
Speed: Once it's gathered information on your contacts (a few seconds on the first load), D9 is nice and fast - there's no delay in finding the name you're after.
Vibration support: D9 offers vibration feedback so you can tell more easily whether or not you actually hit that button.
Regular number dialling: Of course, you can dial a regular phone number rather than enter a name, should you wish. Simply enter the number as normal and tap the Dial button.
Support for multiple number types: It's easy to choose between dialling different numbers. D9 supports home, mobile, work, home 2 and work 2 numbers.
Text message support: Sending a contact a text message is easy with D9. Simply find the person you want and then hit the text button when you've chosen the appropriate phone number.
Skinnable: Don't like the interface? Then change it! Every image can be replaced with your own creation.
