This is the PocketPC Version (Viewer) of PVD the very best program to organize your movies.

How it works First of all, you have to get PVD and enter your movies. After that, make a XML export. This writes a file containing the movie information and a directory containing the pictures. Take both and copy them onto your device. I recommend to copy them onto the SD card in a sub directory PVD. Download mobilePVD and install it on your device. When starting, you will have to select the XML file by clicking Menu->Open DB. Your can select other languages and other skins (if someone makes them Cheesy). You need to have .NET Compact Framework 3.5 installed to run mobilePVD.

When going to a sublist in mobilePVD slide your finger from right to left (i.e. viewing the movie details or selecting directories) and you want to get back, just slide with your finger over the list from left to right...

How to translateIn the program directory on the device is a sub directory called "Languages". Within you find the language files. I deployed English and German so far. To make own translations just copy a file to your desktop, open it with any text editor and translate. Please publish your translation on either forum, so I can build the next version with more supported languages.

How to skinalso in the program directory you will find a sub directory "Skin" with all the images I use. The images in "Manila WVGA" are for a resolution of 800x480. If you like you can take those bitmaps and change them to fit other resolutions and other colors. Don't forget to adapt the settings in the skin.ini file. And please share your work with us and publish your skins on either forum. I will put them in the download section.

If you are a fun of trying a lot of applications on your windows mobile phone like me, you must said at least once: windows mobile’s “Remove Programs” is sucks! When you have hundreds of applications installed, it will be hard to find a one that you want to remove in an ugly list of applications that all of them start with company name not the name of app itself!

This version selects the 'down' character as soon as the key is touched, rather than requiring a slide. This makes input faster especially for frequent characters like the space key. It also has an enhanced interface to show which character is currently selected. The name of the program has been changed from 'Xslide' to avoid a naming conflict. FleXslide combines the best features of a keyboard with character recognition methodologies. A character is input by touching within a text area and where necessary sliding in one of six directions. The result is a simple character recognition system that has the strengths of a keyboard. FleXslide is simple to learn. While it may look a little strange at first, the horizontal ordering of a Qwerty keyboard is maintained. This means that there is very little searching for characters. After a few minutes the method becomes second nature. FleXslide is as fast as using as using a small keyboard from the first time you use it. When you are using a keyboard you are constantly moving the stylus in various directions above the keyboard, FleXslide simply extends this natural motion. The text areas themselves are big enough to allow fast input using the stylus. In fact FleXslide keys are larger that those on a full screen keyboard - but FleXslide uses only a small amount of screen space. With small soft keyboards it is easy to tap the wrong key. This problem is eliminated with FleXslide. With FleXslide you can input characters without directly looking at the input method at all. With FleXslide it is easy to use the nails of two fingers to develop a touch sliding technique This makes the method even faster. Note however, unlike the touch pad on a laptop, the touch screen is not designed for your fingers. As with any input method accuracy is affected by speed. However with FleXslide accuracy can be improved by making strokes longer. This makes it easier to use in a situation where the hand is unsteady, like when using public transport. Installation Run the executable called FleXslide and it will download the program to your pocketpc. If everything went OK the program will have installed itself as a sip and should be ready to work. Follow the following instructions. Open a word or note document on your pocketpc. On the bottom right hand side of the screen there is a small keyboard icon. Click on this and a pop up list of keyboards will appear. Choose the one called FleXslide. This should start the program. NOTE - There is nothing presently in the 'Program Files' directory. However if you look at the Windows directory there is a entry for FleXslide.dll. This is all the program requires. I'll try to figure a way to put a readme file in the program files directory, sometime soon.
